Effective September, 2003 Mellon Vacuum & Sound Systems became Mellon Home Technologies.
 
Why the name change?
 
Since 1962, Mellon Vacuum & Sound Systems has been recognized both locally and nationally as an industry leader in intercom systems and central cleaning installations. While extremely proud of that heritage, vacuums and intercoms have come to represent only a small portion of Mellon's overall business.
 
The new corporate name better reflects the larger scope of products and services offered by the company . Even our most loyal customers occasionally forget that for many years, our residential line has also included design and installation of Custom Home Theaters, Whole-House Audio Systems, Stereo Speakers in all price ranges, Home Automation & Structured Wiring, Phone Systems, Audio Video Equipment, Camera Systems and much more!
 
The new name, MELLON HOME TECHNOLOGIES,  emphasizes the company's commitment to technical excellence, our flexibility in recognizing emerging and expanding markets, our ability to offer exciting new products, and our desire to be your "One Stop" low voltage specialty contractor.
